White Doves
Released in Northwest Arkansas
|

|
The
Holy Spirit
appears in the form of a dove. A white dove
carried to Noah the hope
of the future and a branch of peace. They are the exultation
of love in the Song of Solomon. Releasing them is an act of faith, of
surrender, release, acceptance, and letting go. |

The
fine print...
Although we do not sign contracts, this page represents the 'handshake
agreement' made when a booking is made.
- Release: Must be supervised by Full
Circle Dove handler.
- Release Site: Site must be
pre-approved by Full Circle Doves.
- Must be within safe
flying distance for doves (see When and Where?)
- Must be at an outdoor
location free from hazards.
- Release Time:
- Release must be
scheduled to permit birds to arrive safely home before dark. Typically,
this release deadline is one hour before sundown. The time varies by
distance, time of year and weather. Contract will specify likely release deadline for your
event date. This deadline may be adjusted for weather with notification
at event set-up.
- Weather:
- Full Circle Doves
reserves the right to make last minute decisions on the weather. Doves will not be
released, and a full refund will be provided if:
- Wind gusts exceed 30
mph
- Rain
- Thick Fog
- Heavy Falling Snow
- Threatening weather
or storms
- Widespread Smoke
- Temperatures over 95
or under 20.
- Indoor displays are not affected by
the weather. If possible, we will work with you for an optional indoor
display if weather does not cooperate.
- Display
- Displays will be set
up indoors or outdoors at least one hour before the event is scheduled
to begin.
- Display doves may not
be trained to fly home from the event location and must not be released
under any circumstances.
- Display cages will be
wired shut to prevent accidental release. Any display dove
intentionally released may result in lost or endangered birds. We
implore you be careful!
- Rehearsal Fee
- A rehearsal fee will be charged if
individuals would like to practice dove handling & releasing. (This
is recommended because it is difficult to discuss details on the day of
your event.) Otherwise, placement of baskets and timing with the
ceremony will be worked out one hour before event is to begin. Fees are
based on distance and time involved. This will be worked out in the
quote.
- Dove Behavior
- All doves used in releases are highly
trained and physically conditioned for the flight home. Nevertheless,
all animals are unpredictable to some degree and doves are no
exception. Persons contracting for a release should do so with the
understanding that anything can happen!
- We do not feed the doves before a wedding
to reduce the likelyhood of 'accidents', but, anything can happen!
(NOTE: to date we have NEVER had a dove deposit 'droppings' when in
flight. Birds do this when at rest and roosting, rarely when flying.)
- We advise you to notify all guests that
doves will be released and will likely fly over or through the
crowd. Some
individuals may be afraid of flying birds and may want to excuse
themselves during the release.
- We will do our best to ensure our doves
our on their best behavior. We hope you will do the same with your
guests, expecially children, as 'unsheduled releases' by guests or
children will not be refunded. (Anything can happen!)
- Deposit and Refunds:
- Most of the time we
accept full payment at the event set-up. However, if the season is
especially busy, a deposit may be requested to hold the date.
- Fee or remaining
balance is due during
set up for event. If balance or fee is not paid at this time, we
will
remove all doves and decorations and deposit will not be refunded.
- Should release
deadline before dark not be met due to event delays (for any reason
other than weather),
doves will
not be
released, but you will still be charged 1/2 of the release portion of
the bill. If there was a deposit, the deposit
will not be refunded.
(Note: if there is also a display with this event, only the balance on
the release price will be
refunded, as
the display doves are not affected by a deadline.)
- If event is canceled
more than 30 days before event date, and Full Circle Doves is notified,
you will obtain a full refund.
- If event is canceled
with less than 30 days from event date, deposit will not be refunded.
- If inclement weather
prevents a Dove Release, you will receive a full refund, including the
deposit. Full Circle
Dove Release reserves the right to make last minute decisions on
the
weather. We will work with you to try to display doves indoors instead
(if displays are not otherwise booked) at the standard display rates.
Any differences in rates will be refunded, if applicable.
- If Full Circle Doves
is unable to attend event for any reason, Full Refund will be granted.
- If for any reason,
Full Circle Doves is delayed and is late to your event, you will
recieve a full refund AND we will also conduct the release and/or
display in the time remaining, if possible.
- Refunds will not be
granted for unexpected Dove or Guest behavior.
